What’s the big deal with SOPA & PIPA?

01.23.12

SOPA & PIPA are reckless bills that some inconsiderate politicians & members of congress are trying to pass in the US. Why? as usual these politicians were bought by huge companies who have specific agendas that are advantaged by destroying the typical expected freedoms of internet such as. That’s pretty much it.

The two acts are supposedly about copyright infringement, piracy and all that good stuff. You may be thinking “What’s the big deal, websites shouldn’t be giving away copyrighted content on-line” reasonably when considering film & music. Though when it comes to all copyrighted information on a website, especially a website in which it’s impossible to control all copyrighted content (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Google & Wikipedia) to shut down a website just because it contains copyrighted info would be ludicrous [Not ludacris.mp3].

So who in their right mind is supporting these magical bills that can potentially shut down the most common websites? Friendly people like Rupert Murdoch…(Exactly what I was thinking as well).

And what about PIPA. Pipa is similar to SOPA, if congress passes this bill it can also force Internet Providers to block websites that contain copyrighted info. The copyrighted info includes comments by users. Clearly this is not a war on piracy, it’s another mastermind method of squeezing the juice out of the masses due to the growth of the internet slightly defecting some of these fat cats profits…(Arr poor rich people).

The SOPA and PIPA are currently on hold in congress at the moment. I think this is what people were referring to when they said the world will end in 2012. ha ha! ;-(

Jan18 I and my team at atdilsynjecane.org gladly sign the petition, join up, and take a stand against SOPA, PIPA, Censorship, and stupid politics in general.
